Welcome to Buddify, operated by Buddify App d.o.o., Dunajska cesta 27, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Buddify mobile application ("App") or the Buddify website ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Buddify.

1. Eligibility

Buddify is intended for individuals 18 years or older. By using the App, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement. We verify age through date of birth provided during profile setup.

2. Description of the Service

Buddify is a social and activity-based platform that helps users find "buddies" for hobbies and activities. Users create profiles, discover activities based on location and interests, join activities, swipe to match with other participants, communicate via in-app messaging, and build a trust score through community reviews.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.
You must not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

You may delete your account at any time through the App (Settings > Delete Account) or by contacting info@buddify.life.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC)

Users may upload profile photos, descriptions, activity information, messages, reviews, and other content.

By posting content in the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and process your content for the functioning of the service.

Prohibited Content and Behavior

Users must NOT post, share, or transmit content that involves:

Harassment or bullying — threats, intimidation, targeted abuse, or persistent unwanted contact
Hate speech — content attacking individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
Sexually explicit content — nudity, pornography, or sexual solicitation
Violence or dangerous activities — graphic violence, self-harm promotion, or encouragement of dangerous behavior
Impersonation — pretending to be another person, organization, or entity
Spam or commercial solicitation — unsolicited advertising, promotional content, or pyramid schemes
Illegal activity — drug sales, weapons trafficking, fraud, or any activity violating applicable law
Privacy violations — sharing others' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, photos) without consent
Underage content — any content involving or targeting minors
Intellectual property infringement — content violating copyright, trademark, or other IP rights
Misleading information — deliberately false activity descriptions, fake profiles, or deceptive content

Consequences of Violations

Violations will result in escalating action:

First offense: Content removal and warning
Repeated offenses: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
Severe violations: Permanent account termination
Illegal activity or imminent danger: Immediate ban and report to law enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion.

5. Reporting and Blocking

Reporting Violations

Users can report content or behavior directly within the App via the Report button on profiles, activities, and chat screens.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Reporters receive confirmation of receipt.
Reports may also be submitted via email to info@buddify.life.
We take all reports seriously and will take action where violations are confirmed.

Blocking Users

Users may block other users at any time via the Block button.
Blocking is silent — the blocked user is not notified.
Blocked users cannot see your profile, activities, or send you messages.
You can manage blocked users and unblock at any time via Settings.
Unblocking does not restore previous matches or conversations.

6. Safety and Community Guidelines

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
We recommend meeting in public places for first activities.
Never share financial information with other users.
Report any suspicious or dangerous behavior immediately.
The trust score and review system exists to help the community self-moderate — participate honestly.

Our Commitment

We actively monitor reports and take action on violations.
We maintain the right to remove content and users that threaten community safety.
We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when user safety is at risk.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for harassment or harmful behavior
Impersonate others
Attempt to access data not intended for you
Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or damage the service
Use the App for commercial advertising without permission
Use automated systems or bots to access the App
Circumvent any security measures or content moderation systems

8. Premium Features & Subscriptions

Buddify offers optional paid premium features. Details, pricing, and subscription terms are presented directly in the App.

By subscribing, you:

Authorize the applicable app store (Apple/Google) to charge your payment method
Agree to the renewal terms unless auto-renew is disabled in your store settings

We do not handle or store credit card data directly.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the App, including features, pricing, or content, at any time.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior. Termination may be immediate for severe violations.

You may terminate your account at any time through the App (Settings > Delete Account) or by contacting us.

11. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Availability or uptime
Accuracy of user-provided information
Reliability of user-generated content
The behavior, identity, or intentions of other users

Users connect at their own risk and take sole responsibility for interactions with others.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for:

Damages caused by misuse of the App
Interactions between users, including in-person meetings
Loss of data or service interruptions
Actions taken by third-party service providers

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia. Disputes shall be resolved before the competent courts in Slovenia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the Website and in the App with the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Buddify after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
